Bob Nelson is a venerable icon of Pacific Northwest folk music, having been performing since the 1950s. Bob was an original member of the historic Pacific Northwest Folklore Society (started by Walt Robertson, Don Firth, et. al. in 1953) and later revived by Don Firth, Bob Nelson, and Stuart Hendrickson.
During his life Bob collected many recordings of folk musicians he encountered in hoots, living room performances, concerts, and radio, and a few years back (meaning 5 years of hard work) Bob started to digitize these recordings for posterity.
Some wise folks at the University of Washington caught wind of Bob's archival work and offered to host this collection in perpetuity.
